Television Forum - [VIDEO] The River - Page 1

Just watched episode 1+2 (the double bill first fun ride) and it's not bad. The logic is silly in places, everybody is far too quick to accept mystical explanations, the English camera man and director are insanely stereotypically selfish, parts of it are really modern horror techniques by numbers...

...and the whole "it's a documentary made from lost footage like Blair Witch" thing is very over done and implausible.

But it's still interesting.

Think Lost meets Paranormal Activity, without quite as much of the class as the former. If you recently enjoyed American Horror Story, it's worth a go I think.

i normaly hate this ype of thing,  but am enjoying the iver quite a lot,  even tho most of it is a giant plot hole...  wont say more cos it relates to a later episode.. 

just hope it doesnt end up being as disappointing as Lost...  (the ending of that ruined the whole show for me)

Not a bad if very predictable ending. Rumours it's been cancelled, though may end up digital distribution only.
