If I told you about a new show by Deadwood creator David Milch again on HBO I think some of you might be interested, if I added it starred Dustin Hoffman, Nick Nolte, Dennis Farina, ian Hart, Michael Gambon among others and Directed by Michael Mann and is set behind the scenes in the horse racing/ gambling world and looks like the Sopranos meets Dallas then.....ah shoot, the Pilot showed loads of promise and the cast above is even stronger (just couldnt think of all the actors who showed up) and if the season takes of like it looks like it will then this will probably shoot to the top of my must watch list

Had this on my watch list too, and Gambon in it as a guest star, what more could anyone want!
The trailer actually makes it look probably far less interesting than it will turn out to be I suspect.

Second episode in, this is clearly by the same creator as Deadwood because I still don't really know what is going on some of the time. 
Oh and a Deadwood actor turned up in it this week too.

I might actually wait to watch it on Sky in HD rather than downloading it, like we do with Game of Thrones.

I was debating whether to watch this, but apparently the show has been abruptly cancelled by HBO following the death of a third race horse on the set.
They were filming season 2, which had already been greenlit despite poor ratings.

Well yes bad about the horses and all, makes it an inappropriate title. Really enjoying season 1.

Just watched episode 8, GOD DAMMIT WHY CANCELLED WHY!!! Can't they just use CGI horses? Heck I'd settle for something from bagpuss atm as a stand in. I have to know how this plays out.
