American Horror Story

Really enjoyed the 1st couple of episodes, Dylan McDermott plays shrink who moves his wife and daughter to spooky old house with lots of history and freaky goings on after he has an affair.....clever storyline which mixes contemporary ongoing storyline with anthology series (flashbacks of previous stories from the house). Jessica Lange stars also and is very sexy, very dark and a very very bad woman, all in all one of the best new shows for me.....oh and watch out for the incredibly sexy maid Winking

Just seen the first episode, at times it struggles for style and uses rather a lot of modern horror cliches, music can be too much, but then every now and again they dump all that rubbish and let the actors make the scene, at that point it really works best I think!

Will watch the second episode, but I do hope they slow it down a bit and stop rushing everything as it's destroying the truly scary moments. Don't they realise that if you edit stuff like it's for MTV (that's old MTV not new reality show filled MTV) it can't be scary?

Has potential.

Unfortunately rob its made for american tv Sad, the 3rd episode continues the interesting history of the house but as u said they are shoeing in soooo much into each episode that its beginning to feel very forced...I think the stories from the 1st 3 episodes could have filled out a 10 episode HBO season tbh....still good stuff although I missed Langes daughter in ep 3...shes very good in this.

Really enjoyed the second episode, it was slowed down a bit and less stereotypical jump cutting.

Oh btw I think this just started on FX in the UK, so there is probably a repeat for people who missed last night's premier episode.

Watched the 1st one on FX last night, thought it was good.

SPOILER:
Love the way the wife sees the housekeeper as an old woman and the hubby sees her as a sexy young hotty.

RIP Julie & Maisie

Damn, missed it. It's on again on Friday and Sunday, both at 11pm. Phew! Thank god for satellite channels that show everything several times over!
