Top Gear really is back!

Super Admin

Seems to be a normal episode and a special over Christmas? Not entirely sure of the dates, but I think the normal one is on 21st Dec (or is that a repeat of one shown on Sunday that I missed?), and the special on the 26th Dec?

I think they're both 'travelling' specials.
America and Turkey/Iraq I think.

Looking at radiotimes.com and digiguide it looks like tomorrow's new episode is liek a normal one, with a USA road trip in it

Boxing Day's is the "Middle East" special which looks bonkers. I don't watch the One Show but happened to catch Clarkson on it the other day, saying even out there bits were difficult to film as they're so famous they get swamped by people!

Competent

Didn't I read the other day that Tiff Needell is doing a brief return as a kind of Stig and the guy who really was the Stig is joining Fifth Gear. Don't watch FG anyway.

I am not a great fan of normal Top Gear episodes, as they always seen to encourage going round bends at high speed and hand brake turns and doghnuts etc. ie, encouraging youngsters to do some reckless driving.

Its ok on an open track, but try it on a bendy B road and they would end up becoming one with a tree trunk Confused

But...I do love there travelling abroad specials.

Just watched a repeat of thier travel across south america, with the dangerous high and narrow mountain passes and the high altitude plains, using some beat up old 4x4's. Brilliant !

I agree, they are great. I love them all, but my 2 favourite are the Vietnam & North Pole ones.

Just stumbled onto this.
If he's free it would be an interesting diversion to see 'stars' being taught a few stunts instead of how to get to the shops real quick.

I used to be with it, but then they changed what 'it' was.
Now, what I'm with isn't it, and what's 'it' seems weird and scary
