Thought I'd start ours.
Comfortable 4.0 win against a Malaysia 11 today.
Ramsey (Pen), nice crossfield pass from Ramsey for Walcott to lob the keeper, Vela with a chip (no surprise there) and a Rosciky header after Arshavin skinned the full back and put it into the box  with the outside of his right foot.
Interesting to get a first look at Jenkinson and Miyaichi, can't say anymore than they look promising but with a million and one subs on both sides it's dificult to form any real opinions.
Highlights available free on Arsenal Player on the club site

I used to be with it, but then they changed what 'it' was.
Now, what I'm with isn't it, and what's 'it' seems weird and scary

Ooh is free highlights on that a new thing? I've only ever had them on the iPhone app.

Good to see goals scored and none let in. Have to wait for the Emirates Cup to see anything challenging though I suspect.

Some nice work there by Ramsey and Gibbs, also nice to see Rosicky and Vela score, hope they keep it up. Walcott's lob was inch perfect.

I've only seen a small part of the match but a 1.1 draw with Hangzhou Greentown.
Nothing much to get the pulse racing.
We gave up a soft goal so nothing new there and an equaliser via a lovely chip from Arshavin to Van Persie whos' shot was just saved and Vela scuffled in the rebound.
Defence still full of holes (one of them named Squillaci) and I suppose the plus point is that the keeper that was beaten was Mannone.

FC Koln 1 Arsenal 2.
All three scored by Arsenal 2 from new boy Gervinho in an 18 min spell.
First a through ball from Wilshere and the other from a Walcott low cross. He looks to be settling in and on the same wavelength real quick.
Check out new boy Jenkinson's own goal though. A real Lee Dixon special.
I hope he gets over it as well as Dixon did as he was looking good.

Gervinho does look worth the money so far. Also Frimpong seems to have been quite good there.

Lol poor Jenkinson, if he ends up as good as Dixon I think we'll forgive him. Winking

Udinese!
Could have been better, they won't be a pushover, we need to get the job done during the first leg at home despite RVP and Nasri suspended and not knowing if Cesc will play, though apparently he will be playing in the friendly against Benfica.
Also could have been worse we could have been in the middle of Russia three days before taking on the Mancs in their own back yard.

It's okay, despite the number of goals let in during all those friendlies, Szczesny says our defence is sorted!

Ooooh, quiet for ages and then Wenger signs Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain from Southampton:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/14448089.stm

I know, I know, another "youngster", but actually I don't think age has been the problem. It's the type of youngsters the team has been missing. You look at Wilshere in particular, he has the sort of attitude the team needs more of.

Not just a player who keeps his head down and works hard, but one that isn't afraid of getting passionate about winning.

We've had far too many quiet types (Vela, Chamakh, Denilson) that you'd never see picking the game up by the scruff of the neck and forcing a win.

Just need this Fabregas saga to end now, get Nasri in a more central position (where he played excellently last season whilst Fabregas was out) and on a new contract.

Signing a 17 year old may be great if we're still competetive when he's old enough and up to speed.

Nasri would be best sold. 20 odd mill for 12 months left when he only had a good 6 months.
If he stays what's to guarantee he won't just soft pedal until he can walk.

We need a centre back, big ugly and experienced

Gazidis is currently taking to the AISA, a few interesting Tweets arising http://twitter.com/#!/timpayton

In fairness to the above I would say that Nasri played better when Cesc was out of the team, which could be the case again.

We were discussing the other day though and even if both go, I think you've got a good squad that will be capable of challenging for the title, on the assumption that

a) Vermalen will play
b) Van Persie has a "good" season and manages to play about 30 league games
c) You sign another centre back, with it looking likely that one of Cahill, Shawcross, Jagielka, Dann will sign if rumours are to be believed.

Szeleny (however you say it)
Sagna, Vermalen, Djourou, Gibbs
Walcott, Ramsey, Wilshere, Arshavin
Van Persie, Gervinho

Subs: Almunia, Fabianski, although not amazing they are good back up keepers
Koscielny, Eboue, Schillaci, Jenkinson
Song, Diaby, Rosicky, Chamberlain
Chamakh, Vela

Probably would sign another midfielder if the two went and could probably do with a striker in addition to centreback, but £55-65million should be enough for that

If Nasri and Fabregas end up staying, then I'd say definately a title push will be on.
