Looks like its now a done deal
West Ham approved as London 2012 Olympic Stadium tenant.
Only hurdle now is how much Barry Hearn's back hander is gonna cost.

Makes me hope they get relegated even more now.
How I would laugh at them then.
Relegated and a running track around their pitch.
Stop it.....my sides are splitting..... Grinning

Bit of a bump here, and i'm sure there are other threads regarding this subject, but I thought I'd bump this one to report that the IAAF have selected London to be the host for the 2017 World Athletics Championships, and the event will be held at the Olympic stadium

Quote:
Bid leader Sebastian Coe said: "This bid has been developed by athletes and athletics, for athletes and athletics."

He added: "We believe 2017 will cement the clear, unambiguous vision we offered the world in 2005 [when London was awarded the 2012 Olympics], a vision that promised a real legacy through unprecedented levels of investment in our new national stadium.

"This is the natural continuation of the work being done on 2012."

Awesome. Just awesome

Absolutely. As I said in my earlier post, the sheer belligerent, thuggish mentality exhibited by the footie fraternity was putting this country to shame. Give out incredible athletes the ability to shine, then take it away as soon as they've finished their event. made me want to actually vomit

I used to be with it, but then they changed what 'it' was.
Now, what I'm with isn't it, and what's 'it' seems weird and scary
