Good news for Arsenal fans then, as we won't lose the points we won against Pompey.

I thought FIFA were looking at bringing in rules to make sure clubs couldn't operate outside their means? Which was why Chelsea or Man City (forget which) did some sort of accounting thing to get around the money pumped into their clubs by rich owners?

I saw a report said the EPL clubs owed more than either all the other leagues put together or the other top leagues in europe put together.....something needs to be done but with the accountants ruling the game now im not sure what can be done tbh.

True that EPL did have the greatest debt levels, but they also had the greatest assets aswell, so overall it wasn't that they were in debt.

How are accountants ruling the game? If accountants were ruling the game it wouldn't be in this position.

Surely it's players and agents ruling the game which is the problem??? And also chairmen with no financial experience or football business experience trying to "live the dream" which is the problem.

The accountants are using every trick in the book to hide whats going on as far as I can see, when u see clubs in the wealthiest league in the world not being able to manage then something is surely amiss??? I mean Leeds back in the day I at least got how and why they got into trouble, Pompey im lost, what have they had 4 or 5 owners this season? and what is the deal with the fit and proper person rule...definitely now working is it?

Fit and proper person is basically, has he/she got a criminal record.
Given that most of the likely candidates can afford the best shysters around the answers normally no so if you can afford it you can buy it.
Just look at the nasty fat Usbeki lurking in the wings at Arsenal should Kronke stumble. Personally I wouldn't let him run the hot dog concession.

I used to be with it, but then they changed what 'it' was.
Now, what I'm with isn't it, and what's 'it' seems weird and scary

I can't see Kronke stumbling, and judging by how the board and supporters club have warmed to him over the last few years, he is a keen businessman that has taken the time to learn about the game. Rather than barging in elbows style, then running up the huge club debts like Man Utd and Liverpool seem to have suffered.

Last time I read, he was 6 shares away from a take over bid, but would probably wait a year or two due to some rules about the minimum you have to offer the remaining share holders.

Into Administration they go, where they go from here I have no clue although I imagine this would make them easier to buy now?
