The season starts now Happy

So Mowbray it is then....I did like the way his WBA side played last season, and he knows about the Glasgow Goldfish bowl from his playing days and he will get my support 100% even though he would not have been my 1st choice

Mon the Hoops

Fortune is a tim - he obviously didn't fancy another relegation battle in the EPL wastelands with Hull, Portsmouth etc.

N'guemo to be one (a celt not a wasteland Winking ) by Friday I hear.

You mean, of course, Celtic are paying him more than anyone in the EPL was willing to.

Think u will find it is exactly the opposite wages wise.

I don't believe you, to be honest.
Conjecture, as far as I'm concerned.
I can't see any possible reason why a player would forgo the EPL and more wages to join the SPL.
Unless he's a mad c***, of course.

I'm sure the name Celtic is more famous overseas than say Hull, Portsmouth or West Ham. Its not Man Utd or Liverpool he has rejected after all. Maybe that could be the answer you are looking for.

edit: from the man himself Quote:
"Having met the people at the club and knowing all about the club's fantastic pedigree and support, this is where I saw my future."

It goes without saying the EPL clubs in question couldn't match that.

Fortune won't be a prolific goalscorer by any means.
his link-up play for us last season was very good though,
he holds the ball well and will no doubt be given many
"assists" in the season to come.

Ste.

I agree splintercell. Think he will assist McDonald to double his goals tally from last season.

It's the SPL remember.
He'll find the level of defending a whole lot easier to deak with than the EPL or even the championship.
The likes of Larsson, whilst a helluva player, wouldn't have scored the incredible amount he did anywhere else.
Honestly, for a player of any quality it should be like shooting fish in a barrel.
