Honestly mate, I doubt you've experienced the bone-chilling cold one can encounter at a winter SPL game...

I do play golf, all year round and in pretty much any weather. So I maybe have more experience than you reckon (whether its enough though??)

Well, their first away win in Europe for 6 years.
The bloke who looks like a bewildered Freddie Mercury saves their bacon.
Tough opponents next though.
Isn't it 4th placed team from England/Spain/Italy?
Possibly Arsenal, who tore Rangers apart?

No. The losing team from each of the UEFA Champions League third qualifying round ties drop into the UEFA Europa League play-offs. Mind u I can see why you wouldn't get the format of the CL. Grinning

When the Europa League was first mentioned I thought they said they were stopping all the CL drop outs from joining at the latter stages but according to wikipedia they are still going to drop in. Confused

I noticed they also have 12 groups of 4 in the Europa League this season too.

We're guaranteed European football till first week in December although if we did end up playing in this competion I would expect us to progress past the group stage. {cue lots of negativity coming from the city of Aberdeen}

It's not negativity.
It's honesty.
I want to see you dry humped and out of Europe.
Simple as that. Tongue

Celtic can draw the likes of Arsenal, Fiorentina and various other "named" clubs in the next qualifying round. They put the list up on SSN last night but I only caught a quick glance of it

I thought there's no seeding so basically it's now a free for all, in the last qualifying game (or playoff as it's now known).

Lyon, Stuttgart, Athletico Madrid are the other "big guns", plus whoever else qualified last night.

I understand that basically the big names could all get each other, whereas in the past seeding generally stopped that.

Its a split draw. In each half of the split there are seeded and unseeded teams (though i cant see if the seeds can draw each other or not.

Two paths
The draw, taking place from 12.00CET at UEFA Headquarters in Nyon, will consist of two parts, with the ten clubs in the Champions Path competing for five places in the group stage and another ten challengers allocated to the Non-Champions Path. In each of the two sections, five teams are seeded according to the UEFA club coefficient rankings and five unseeded, with the five winners from each section joining the 22 automatic entrants in the group stage. The play-offs are played over two legs on 18/19 and 25/26 August. The draw ceremony will be conducted by UEFA General Secretary David Taylor together with competitions director Giorgio Marchetti.
