As well as Barry, we've been linked with Santa Cruz, McGeady, Sneijder and a mysterious ex-Spurs player who might return

Barry linked with Pool and Arsenal - cant see him turning down top four and CL footy for Spurs i;m afraid

Santa Cruz - If he moves Man City hve to be favourite unless Hughes leaves or a bigger club come in

McGeady - who knows

Sneijder - do yo mean Wesley here? if so, similar to Barry, why would he leave Real for Spurs. Especially as I imagine bigger clubs with CL footy would want him if he were available and wanting to leave Madrid

any ideas on your mystery former player??

Rumours abound about Berbatov being dumped, so that's bound to be raised.

Tottenham are monitoring Wesley Sneijder's situation at Real Madrid.

The Holland international could be on his way with a new board about to be voted in at Real.

Spanish sources say Bayern Munich and Tottenham head the queue of clubs keen to take Sneijder off Real's hands this summer.

It's reported Spurs have indicated they're ready to offer £18 million for the midfielder

Oh, and reports from the ground do indicate we're in early discussions regarding Barry.

GIven his seeming self perception of his own ability I thought Glenn Hoddle would be re-signing Grinning

Ben, never said you werent.
Only said that given the players you talking of / the other teams they have been linked with it becomes hard to see why Spurs would be chosen before them

If they all table the same deals, I'm not daft enough to disagree with you there.
I'm realistic, not mental. Grinning

But, if we're the one tabling the best deal, or the only deal, that's another matter.

BTW, the mystery ex-player better not be f***ing Kanoute....
He can go f*** himself.

Sneijder is the one I really dont see. I mean he's a class player and if he were available and wanting to leave madrid i;d find it hard to believe that only Bayern and Spurs would be interested.
That being so I also cant see that there would be no teams after him who play champs league - a few years ago i was hoping Pool might go for him !!!

We'll never sign him anyway. There's always one big player every year that we might sign, but never do. We'll probably end up signing an Engish player for too much money again.

Modric came out of the blue last year, and he was (and still is) hot property. I reckon we'll be waving him goodbye next season.

How about Arteta? Cheeky bid for him?

Arteta is apparently £20million plus as he signed a new deal last year if memory serves rightly?

If you remember this time last year I was saying that Eto would have been a bargain at £15million even on the wages he wanted.
