Quote:
Beckham is a has been, his wonder show against Greece (me thinks) to reach the last finals was his one and only truly good performance.

He's been arguably one of the best players in Spain this season, he still leads La Liga with most assists (more than Ronaldinho and Deco!). I don't think England can afford to leave out such an influencial player; besides, he occupies at least one full-back/wingback from the opposing team becuase of his threat.

here's my team...
Robinson

Neville
Ferdinand
Terry
Cole

King
Gerrard
Beckham
Cole

Rooney
Owen

Neil.

GK Robinson
RB A.Cole (Neville is s***e)
LB Konchesky
CB Ferdinand
CB Terry
RM J Cole (Beckham has aged alot and has lost his quality)
LM Etherington/Downing (Both are left footed wingers and are good although not world class)
CM Lampard (Does f*** all but scores the goals)
CM Gerrard
ST Rooney
ST Defoe
Subs James, Campbell, Beckham, Harewood, Owen
Defoe is a selfish greedy git who always shoots and knows where the goal is. Just what england need to put away all the chances they create.
Harewood deserves his chance. He has worked hard and gotten better and better. 16 goals in his first season up and he has scored against the best.

When Rooney is fit he will take Crouch's place and Jenus will be dropped from the bench Happy
