Recently ordered some blank DVD-R and assorted cases, and being the skin flint that I am decided to choose the economy delivery option... now I assumed this would mean it would take longer to arrive, but it actually arrived quite quickly. However, what I didn't realise was that they either took a sledgehammer to the box prior to shipping, or specifically asked for the roughest possible treatment in transit Angry

When it arrived the box was ripped open at two corners and about half the cases were shattered and had to be thrown out. Oddly though, some of the cases came separately in one of those massive CityLink delivery bag thingies, covered in tons of bubble wrap Confused

Word to the wise, if you order from SVP spend the extra quid or so and get the good delivery service.

Been there, got the teeshirt. I always deal with SVP for cases and blanks, but the last couple of times I've had jewel cases from them, they've turned up with up to 50% smashed to buggery. However, after a quick email, they replaced all the bad cases. Smashing people to deal with, shame about the couriers (and the more expensive options aren't much better).

I had an order arrive on Friday morning and answered the door in my jimjams... and the courier man was having a look at my boobies while I was signing for it! Shocked

The order was in a CityLink plastic bag with so much bubblewrap it was almost spherical. Grinning

Last two cakes of blanks I've had have arrived smashed. Emailed SVP and they didn't want the smashed ones back and they sent out two more cakes. Great customer service but I bet it can't belong before they ditch the couriers and use somebody else as it must be costing them loads.

I've had no problems with either of my orders although they were for aluminium DJ cases! Quote:

I always use SVP for all my blank media/boxes etc. Have done for about 2 years now.

Once they delivered an incorrect order and it was replaced overnight with no fuss at all. I have never had a damaged package, in fact everything I've had from them has been over-packaged in my opinion, and I keep the rolls of bubble wrap that come off their packages to send my own stuff out in as I sell it through Amazon. And I have always found that even their economy delivery option will be next day or the day after.

They're a great bunch to deal with! I can't comment on Citylink, as I haven't had any problems with them to the best of my knowledge.

Luv'n'kisses

Maybe the company is part of a conglomerate which also includes the South Park 'City Wok' restaurant. Winking Quote:
