Restored mine to version 3 because of those same issues with the slow down. Restored for a sound issue and it was fast for a day or 2 then slowed down again. Definately getting an Android in few weeks when my upgrade is due, probably a Galaxy S.

Out of interest, on your units that are causing problems with iOS4, how much space do you have free?

Nearly 3 gig onmine, i think the issue is more likely ram usage. Iirc the 3g only has 256meg

Cheers m8 hope they resolve it.... for the most part i love the Desire, but a few niggles still remain, & the iphone still works best for me overall, if they sort it out i'll probably just use the desire as a wifi access point for the 3g while i'm at work

I think my brother has been moaning about some Proximity sensor bug, not experienced it myself.

Wonder how well the HDR photos will work, I guess with the gyro/accelerometer lining up images should be easier for software, but I've found HDR to be such a manual process for anything to look right that I'm quite dubious!

And has anyone got Genius working in the appstore? It always asks me for my password, then fails on the next bit. Tho right now the appstore won't work for me at all.

Slightly off topic, I've never used Genius, is it any good?

I never bothered using it before as didn't like the fact it sent the data to Apple, as most of my music wasn't bought from Itunes *cough cough* and even the few hundred cd's I converted to years back wouldn't show up as legit as I just used DMB to convert the wav files to mp3 (well I'd assume they wouldn't anyway).

I'm actually intrigued to us the new OS anyway, but can't be bothered with any slow down.  My iphone 3G is currently taking about 4seconds to open up messages or get into the Ipod section and whilst not horrendous is just annoying.  So much so I've been looking about for 32gs 3Gs's and Iphone 4's Happy

really depends on your library, & if it's got full id tags on each track,  worked well for me, & even churned up  a few tracks i didn't even know i had & i ended up liking them lol Happy
