Mine dies around 5pm each day! Where you getting the 1600 battery from? Be interested to see if it helps

got a 1600mah battery last week (ebay)  put it through a few recharge cycles, but it's worse than the supplied 1400mah one Confused   a bit of googling suggests there are "recognised" variencies of stated mah, & that HTC actually use pretty much the best batteries around, & that they genuinly give you around 1400mah,  whilst cheaper ones vary upto 25% lower than the stated mah Confused  & this was from a thread regarding a $25 "upgrade" battery

Mine took about 2 weeks of charge discharge cycles to stabalise and give me a days use. This is the original battery that came with the phone.

I read the same as you Og that the HTC battery actually provides close to what it states whereas others don't therefore you end up with the same life.

Hmmm, got me tempted.

I really don't need a new phone though and haven't even used a Desire, just going on word of mouth so I've been considering one (due to cost on Iphone 4).

The desires better than the iPhone in all but one area, the audio player isn't suited to audiobooks, & unfortunately that's my primary use for it lol,

That's what I was thinking from what you've said the Audiobooks appears to be the only downfall and I don't listen to Audiobooks.

What's the size on the Desire then 8gb plus whatever is on the card?  Quick scan seems to say that an 8gb card is the best for performance and price?  Just thinking as ideally don't want to go lower than 16gb I've got at the moment.

Just wondering how much I'll get for my Iphone 3g 16gb, as pretty sure it's got water damage, but when I scanned the other day on the net trying to see the water sensors they appeared to be okay, as they should go red if it has the damage, but can't see mine are (only literally did a quick scan of the guide and quick look in without a torch).  Apple's diagrams weren't clear though.

The phone works fine, but obviously if selling on and the tabs have gone would have to sell as water damaged which would reduce price significantly :s

It comes with a 4gig card, never noticed any slowdown when reading from the card, takes a few seconds to remount itself after syncing, but that's it, I wouldn't imagine using a 16gig or even a 32gig card would be a problem.
