having a slight issue with the desire,  on android 2.1 when i put the o2 sim in, it'dd automaticaly find the correct o2 cellular data settings,  but on froyo it's not playing ball Confused  tried it with an o2 sim, & a virgin media sim,  both work fine for calls/texts, but not for data Sad

i know what the settings are (ie,  wap.o2.co.uk)  but can't seem to find where to manually enter them on the phone Confused  probably just me being thick,  but if anyone can help, i'd be very greatfull.

Elite

Well I'm a few weeks in now so may aswell update with how I'm getting on.

Really liking the phone and think it's definately an improvement over the Iphone 3g but the only issue is the battery.

My 3G iphone would generally make it 2-3 days on a charge, but the Desire is only making it one day.  I've heard that with it being a lithium battery, it seems to be that after a month, it'll start to show it's "true" charge capabilities so I'll see how I get on over the next few weeks.

My 16gb memory card came yesterday so just need to bang everything on that now, I prefer the ease of dragging and dropping files to the memory card rather than ****ing about with Itunes and Syncing etc.

Went away the other week and just banged a few episodes of divx onto the memory card.  Obviously the size was far in excess of what I need on that size screen, but the convenience of doing it at last minute, rather than setting up conversions etc means I'll actually use it.

Don't think I ever bothered watching anything on my Iphones in the past few years as always viewed the conversion and then getting it on my phone a pain in the arse.

The comic book reader does a good job aswell and is free, whereas anything on the Iphone was going to cost about £8 and upwards.

Main thing bugging me at the moment is Doubletwist.  It went a bit nuts when I tried to sync to my computer, so I just dropped the files onto the memory card.

Now it does everything I need from a music player, but the visualisation of the album art, comes up as if there is a proper CD with the spine to the left side, but looking online it shows it just with the album art taking up the whole screen which is what I want.  I can't find any settings anywhere to do that :s

At present I can only assume it's because I've dragged and dropped the music, so for some reason it shows the album art that way (Although if it is not syncing that causes the problem, I would have assumed it wouldn't show the album art at all).
