What's the point of a lovely 1mb connection when you are limited to a measly 2GB per month?!

If you are with BT and have done 12 months on a half meg connection, then ring them up and tell them you are leaving for a better deal.

They upgraded me to 1Meg for free, after a friendly chat with their retension department, without a new contract. The limit is currently 20GB/month - plenty for me.

Apparently prices are set to change soon, with the 2 Meg becoming readily available.

Cheers

I am with Prodigy Networks, £14.99 per month for 2mbs limited to 2GB download.

I have only just used 1GB after nearly 4 weeks. 2GB limit is more than enough unless you are downloading masses of music or video.

free transfer from your existing adsl provider.

then £14.99 to upgrade your speed

I am currently on freeserve paying £27.99 a month for unlimited downloads on a 512k service.

I want to upgrade to 1mb or higher, but to do so, I have to take on Freeserves new choices, ie download limits, which I dont want to do as I use the internet a lot.

Are there any other companies that are offering higher speeds, with a reasonable price and no download limits. The only other that I can see is AOL and I hate them with a passion!!!

Mostly Harmless

Matt,

Have a look at www.supanet.com they will give you 1Mbs with no download limits for £22.96...

Yes, it is on a minimum 12 month contract, but thats still a £60 saving on what you have now and are getting more service!!

Regards

Pete

DON'T GO WITH SUPANET!!!!!
They're part of the Time/Tiny group.
Check out Eclipse for unlimited packages with fantastic customer support too. Usually top or thereabouts in the ADSLGuide polls.

I looked at Supanet a while ago. However, I think on dvdforums someone mentioned that they are not P2P friendly.
