As for your son agreeing with you, he's 15, he probably thinks playing the guitar means thrash metal, and that Pink Floyd is a brand of T-shirt.

Or even worse, he likes Hawkwind!

You, Sir, are very unkind!

I'm not going to tell him what you said. I will admit though, that he hasn't really "found" music yet.

He listens to Radio 1 whenever possible, and when I hear an awful racket and check with him, he concedes that it sounds alright to him, but can rarely tell me who it is. He seems to like the tracks available to listen to while playing Burnout Paradise though, which I really don't mind. I guess most of those are metal, but I didn't realise there were different weights these days!
