As long as I've been into heavy metal I've never really been into Iron Maiden that much, I like the odd song, but was never bowled over by one of their albums.
Thursday night on BBC4 they showed Iron Maiden's documentary about their world tour a couple of years ago, where Bruce Dickinson piloted the band's 757 containing the band, their crew, and their equipment!
as I say, I'm not a big fan, but it's a really interesting documentary, so if BBC4 repeat it again (which I assume they may do as they're showing quite a few programmes on heavy metal this weekend, but couldn't see it listed) i'd recommend it to anyone.
It's interesting to see how mad for them their fans are, especially in South America.
There's a live concert on tonight at 1:30 so I may give that a go to \m/
No, didn't get round to seeing that, looking forward to it being on TV one day as the trailer looked interesting and a mate said it was good.

If Im honest Ive not listened to Maiden for years but the documentary sounds interesting, not something Id buy but seen as its on the telly I'll give it a watch, downloading it now before it vanishes from the iplayer listings and I'll watch it over the weekend ![]()

Just watching an old ep of Miami Vice, according to one of Sunny's lines, they didnt expect Maiden to be around in 20 years. How wrong could they be? Still going, and stronger than ever. ![]()
