Well you could use a firmware upgrade...
Panasonic have issued one for their 2010 TVs, and it's sorted a whole lot of my problems out.
Download it here.
You'll need to put it onto an SD card to go into the TV. Instructions are on the site.

My G20 has ethernet, it hasn't done it in a while, but every now and again when I turn it on it asks if I want to download and install new firmware. Panasonic seem pretty good about that. The only difference I've noticed was more stuff in the "internet channel".

There was a feature on WhatHifi about this a few months back, it was to do with iplayer using variable bit rates and jumping from very high rates to very low rates, the pause was when the rate changed.
Think the BBC have made some changes too so that it doesn't make huge jumps, now more progressive like a volume control.
