anyone here own a FetchTV box?

Elite

I recently gave away my top-up-tv Thomson box.
It still worked fine, but the built in fan was driving me nuts!
It was like having a hair-dryer on in the next room 24-7.

I have a sky hd box so only used the freeview now & then, certainly not as my main source of TV.

I have been looking around for a twin tuner freeview pvr, i don't want to spend a fortune as the amount of use wouldn't justify the spend.

I was looking at a recon Humax PVR9300T from Humax at £120.
Seems like a well liked award winning box, but its only SD freeview

I was reading a thread on hotdealsuk about a HD freeview box selling at Amazon. Someone there posted about the FetchTV box being sold on ebay for £136.

That's not much more than the Humax, the obvious difference being the HD freeview, but the FetchTV s also a media centre which also has the BBC iplayer.

Trying to find any info, it seems a lot of people who bought this box back in June were very unhappy with it.
Firmware upgrades seem to have sorted out most of the problems.

Does anyone here have a FetchTV box?
If so, would you recommend it?
Thanks
Happy

Super Admin

I know someone with the Humax PVR9200T and it has some *features* that annoy the crap out of me!
