philips bdp3000 black screen

Harmless

just bought this machine on saturday and when i play a movie about 30 mins into it the screen goes black for a second then goes back to the movie. Has anyone else experienced this problem or know what causes it ?

ive got the same problem it does it with everything blu ray, norma, new ones, old ones

i have no idea how to fix it or whats causing it is so annoying happens a couple of times during a film

Could be worth checking the menus for a Plasma screensaver as it might be set to on with an interval of 30 minutes.
No idea if it's what you are experiencing or even if the player has such a function but it can't hurt to check

Why, Why, WHY? do people still buy philips. They are a known problem brand & there are many better ones out there. Change it whilst you can for another make.
