Mostly Harmless

ive got Toshiba XDE500 DVD Player With HDMI,DivX,Region Free[upscaler] and just bought a HD DVD, thinking that because Toshiba had that format before blu-ray won out, it would play but its having none of it ! is there something i'm missing in getting hd dvd's to play .thanks in advance .

You are trying to play an HD-DVD disc in a Toshiba DVD player? What you are missing is the fact that they arent compatible.
