Hi Ian,

I too have purchased one of these units after seeing a region free hack, but then found out that it was a fake advert from a site just trying to get my money.

I've also paid for the help of www.dvdexploder.com, who stated that their team of professionals will avidly search and carry out tests until they find a solution! That was only two weeks ago, so we'll see how long it takes them.

I've also written to Toshiba to ask for the code directly - doesn't hurt to ask!

I know this doesn't really help you, but thought I'd add weight to your post as I'm sure there's many others out there that would also like to make their units region free.

I'll feedback as soon as I hear anything.

All the best,

Derrick

Thanks for the warning.

I had a similar experience over a car radio key code; the info supplied was littered with Trojans and Spyware.

Beware DEALS4WHEELS
