Power on and open lid. Press 0 (zero) three times on your remote to bring up the region code menu. Enter your preferred region (0 to make it region free) and confirm your selection by pressing the PAUSE button.

not sure but you are more than welcome to try it, I searched the file name on yahoo.co.uk and found a downloadable version there as area45.co.uk is no longer available as well as the emailed version.

try the link below for a copy of the file, the only other place I could find it, just cut and paste into the address line.Downloadable file is on this page (towards the bottom). Let me know how you get on as this worked just fine for my DVD player.
