Be nice if they could find a camera that nicks people on bikes at night with no lights. When did it become o.k to do this??
I very nearly hit a cyclist turning into the driveway a few years back, I was in my mums car which isn't great visibility wise. This sounds like my fault, perhaps I should have spent longer checking for a potential cyclist.

However in my defence, it was night, the guy was on a black bike, without a single reflector let alone a light, wearing black jeans, a black jacket and a black backpack, and going top speed. I think his effin and blinding was mostly out of shock, I spent most of my time trying to convince him to at least get some sort of a light before he rode off up the hill.

any word from the OP on a NIP yet?

OP here, No, we are all crossing fingers at the moment that nothing 'NIP'py comes in through the door.

Another week of agonising hell to go before we know the wife is safe.

And we passed through that village again today but with me driving, and  kept it well under the limit. No camera there, PHEW !

Was behind a police car one night last week that was doing 40 in a 30 (as we went past one of those speed detector things that lights up) and then he drove through a red light, all with no lights flashing. Pot meet kettle.

Was 34 MPH too fast.

Well last year I went through a village travelling doing aroung 35-36 when I came round a blind bend to see a camera van on the side of the road

Never received a NIP

I wonder if speed camera opinion is shifting, there was once a time where someone couldn't help but say speed limits are there for a reason, just pay up, slow down etc etc...

Nothing more that Treasury piggy banks if you ask me!

I think that may have happened a fair few years ago. Happy

A lot of threads on here never give you the final result, well for once, here is the final result.

My wife did not recieve a speeding ticket

So our household can resume a normal happy lifestyle, as my grumpy and bruding wife for the last number of weeks, returns to normal happiness, knowing her car licence is safe once again, with nil points

But I cannot dare say 'let this be a lesson to you about speeding' or I will get hit on the head with the poker.

We men can't win when dealing with women
