Yep, really feel for you, we lost our 19 year old cat on the 24th November and I am still struggling to get over it. Keep looking out the window wondering why he is not asleep under the porch on my daughters play house.  (Sad

As you can probably tell, I love my dog, and will be very upset when she dies. I think Julian Clary summed it up when he said about how cruel it is that they only live so long, because you get so attached to having them around. Confused

Nothing silly about grieving for a pet.  They're as much a part of your family as the human members, and unless you're completely cold-hearted you have to go through the grieving process when you lose them.
