General Forum - No heading - Page 1

I dunno, I notice that as well sometimes. I think sometimes what happens is if some-one starts a thread, you (or I ) reply, then a couple of other ppl reply, the next person may only read the original and previous post, skipping over a few in between.

I've noticed as well, as I'm sure others have, that I appear to have killed a thread with my comment, perhaps after that suggestion/comment, there was nothing else to add for one reason or other. Could be the comment was an answer and was all that was needed, no need for others to also say "yes" or "I agree", or maybe the thread had started to go round in circles, or 2 parties just arguing for the sake of it, who would never see eye to eye

that said, it is very cliquey here.

I've noticed some threads that I'm really interested in just go dead and no end of bumping will get them noticed. Other threads I have no interest in seem to get endless pages of posts.

Often there's no logic to it. I don't worry if people respond to something I've posted or not. Life's too short to try and analyse every response, or lack of.

As for the OP here, I can recall a time, several years back, when you weren't my favourite person here, but many years have passed. You don't upset me these days, so it's all forgotten. I happily read your posts and respond where appropriate. Seriously, don't worry about it.

I've killed a fair few threads in my time (at least I think I have) and it's made me a little paranoid from time to time when I've killed 3 or 4 threads in a week, but on the whole, I think people either get their answer or just loose interest, I don't think its anything personal.

I didn't know you used to be our wullie, and don't have a problem with you now, nor did I then.  (Secretly I miss the sparks and things that used to fly back when I joined )

I've always felt accepted here, and never outside of a "clique" of any sort, even though I've never yet been able to make it to any meet ups or anything, and often disagree with some of the "important" people.

I've killed lots of threads, you aren't alone. As fluff says it's nothing personal.

Someone remind me next week if I forget, and I'll create a top 10 of thread killers.
