General Forum - Can we post Spanish newpaper url here? - Page 1

Bad idea, and you really ought to delete that url before the site becomes liable for disseminating material prohibited by legal process.

All UK registered websites have to abide by decisions regarding libel and injunctions and such as decided in UK courts. Just by linking to material published outside the UK which goes against that decision is the same as publishing it ourselves in the eyes of the law.

And where sites outside the UK, especially social networking sites have a degree of anonymity and protection from UK law, a site like this one does not, and users posting on forums here certainly do not have the anonymity afforded by sites like say Twitter.

Apparently Wikipedia is refusing to take down mentions of this as it is now being published in trusted and recognised American newspapers.

I found that url on the Daily Mirror web site.. thats a UK site directing readers to a Spanish site..

Then I suggest you change the link to the Daily Mirror site, unpleasant though that may be.

That way, you've covered your ass if the Daily Mirror gets sued for it

I'm in Spain & the link doesn't work, it says page does not exist.
