1mills , facebook was much better when it was simple. you should get into twitter.
I didn’t like twitter at first but once you build up an interesting follow list with people you like, i.e your favourite director / music/ football player & like minded tweeters etc. It’s good.
For example I searched for my home town and today I found out that @Ed_Miliband was in my little home town of Shrewsbury. Not much goes on in the town so it was interesting, even if i’m not a labour supporter. Yesterday people were tweeting that the red arrows were flying in my area. You get your favourite shop tweeting exclusive twitter offers. and lots more.

Like a friend of my wife's, who honestly posted photos of some binbags, with a comment that she'd tidied out her loft.

Lol. You get worse on twitter but if you don’t like what people are tweeting don’t follow them. Not everyone tweets like that.

By that, I mean that you're missing how people are obsessed with posting everything, even if it's nothing.
Exactly what I hear.

I've blocked 50% of the people on my facebook, and deleted two thirds of them not so long ago. It's actually rather sad that some people work 9-5 and post "4.30pm, nearly home time". These are the same people that post what they have for dinner, etc, very boring and I kind of feel sorry for them that their lives have turned out to be so crap Sad Pity aside, I still block them haha.

I do use facebook, mainly cos some people insist on using it instead of email or texting or a phonecall. It is useful, but definitely too much. I mainly only use it on my iphone.

Why do people find the need to name drop / show of their iphone? Why not just say you mainly use it on your phone?

I get the same through Facebook, as Roy Hodgson must have bought a house around here as every couple of weeks people are putting their pictures of him up etc.

It's close enough to Liverpool to just head for the day like, but it is an old persons town, so he definately fits in Grinning

Speaking of which I'm going to start following Ryan Babel. I'm p***ing myself at his Twitter's that come in the sports news all the time as he's a typical moron footballer Grinning

Because I'm conditioned. My iPhone is rarely used as a mobile phone, it's for email and Internet! To me it's more like a computer, and I don't think it's the norm yet to call it just a phone or mobile. I also get lots of sex but don't tell my other half Winking

You can’t search on facebook. Most people have their status hidden so you only get people you know. More and more people are starting to use Twitter to talk about brands in real time as they interact with them. (I tweeted that I was drinking a tiger beer last week and the official tiger twitter page responded to what i said.) You get to talk in real time with you favourite celeb. Search a film you like and get comments in real time.
My facebook is full of weddings and babies so i refuse to go back on until I have something to boast about.
