sounds to me like he is trying it on... dont see why you should report an accident when you have not had one! I would call his bluff and say fine go to the police, i would perhaps ring and let them know that you think he is trying to make a fraudulant claim?

Can I just clarify, are you saying here that you definitely did not hit his car when you parked yours or is there a chance you might of hit it without realising?

To clarify, his car was not even there when I parked, as confirmed by the two neighbours who saw me park at lunchtime. I was parked on the end of the roadside parking bit (paralell parking, not bay), and literally just had to drive forward into the space, no manouvering (Sp?) and left space for a car between mine and the blue peugeot that was there when I parked. After I had checked with the neighbours that they did see that the car had not moved etc, I told him to go to the police if he wanted to as I could prove car hadn't moved. He has since disappeared (with a moving van too Grinning) and have heard nothing else...assuming he was just trying to take advantage of the fact that I may not have been with it having been got out of bed and have only been back in flat on my own for two days since husband left so may have been really not with it.

Apparently the two grand (minimum) is what the bumper would cost to replace due to the parking sensors.

I think he's going to drop it because I told him to go ahead and call the police. Reckon I'll leave it unless he keeps pestering, thanks for the advice guys!

woop result Grinning go you

Im sure the deranged look and bits of glue and papershapes stuck in your hair helped Tongue

Bloody hell were they gold plated parking sensors??

In Manchester women dont need parking sensors, as a fat bloke in a footie shirt will usually pop outta nowwhere and says things like right hand down darling etc......

they never bloody offer me advice tho pfft

What a load of old tripe....the repairer would just take the sensors out of the old bumper and put them in the new one!!

A new bumper would be at the most £300 to £400 quid unless it's a Ferrari or other exotica.

What car was it??

Actually, by the time you've bought the 'bumper' (purely decorative nowadays and often very complex shapes) and it's been through the paint shop and had the sensors fitted etc. the bill would actually be quite silly. Sad

Harmless

I was going to give some advice but I got sidetracked (mesmerised) by marksparks999's lady with the wobbling bottom.
I must go and have a lie down.

Any updates on this? I'm curious as to what this chancer's next move was. If nothing has happened I would say it clearly suggests he was trying his luck. Knobhead

BTW I like the wobbly bum lady too. Not sure on her tattoos though if I was being picky. More members of this forum should have sigs like that. If they are hot then maybe they could use their own bums! i think thats a different thread though!
