Des would never be shipwrecked on it
but if the island isnt there for him to be shipwrecked on, he would still be on his boat, not in the plane...

I'm assuming that
SPOILER:
he wasn't actually on the plane, seen as he disappeared.
I just thought it was something to do with the Desmond/ psychic kind of stuff.
I'm glad there's the Richard/ Black Rock episode but not that we have to wait until episode 9 ![]()
I'm assuming they are officialy classed as eps 1 and 2 that have been on and it's not classed as extended episode? I've had problems with extended episodes before as different sources were numbering them different, so occassionaly downloaded the ep I'd already seen ![]()

SPOILER:
He wouldn't, presumably Charles Widmore would have died on the Island in 77 so Penny would never have been born or if she had then she could have been with Des without his interference and Des would never have been on the boat either. Those in the alt timeline will have differing pasts because there wouldn't have been any Island interference in there lifes, possibly explaining why Shannon and a load of other people weren't on the plane, why Sun was using her maiden name and also why Hurley seems to have nowt but good luck apparently. I'm now curious to see which numbers he won the lottery with this time around
.
I reckon Des could be hoping between realities this season, possibly explaing why he disapeared from the plane and I think Juliet may have too just before she died, she mentioned something random about a cup of coffee that seemed quite out of context, possibly she was talking to someone in the alt world before being zapped back to the Island then dying.

One thing we know for sure now from the end of the last series, is that the statue with only a broken foot left is not a Giant statue of Mickey Mouse, (dam those photoshop artists) ![]()
It is infact an Egyptian god statue, the one with the big aligator head, whoever he was, anyway, it must have been Jacob in his early years?
Any significance to this, other than jacob is quite old !
SPOILER:
Jacob & Blackie are either two sides of the same coin be they gods or angels or something else, with only Jacob having the power to communicate or be off the island & up until now & Jacob has been the prison warder\restraining force preventing Blackie from escaping.
I consider myself an optimist, albeit an optimist with cynical tendencies and a dark side that Lucifer himself would find a little creepy. (Perhaps you’ve noticed.) You don’t normally associate cynicism with an upbeat pov. But I have exactly that combination and will defend it.

SPOILER:
I will soooooooo not be impressed if it turns out that the alternative reality we are now seeing where the plane didnt crash is actually the real reality and that the island is what could have happened, if that goes down im flying to the States to have words with the owners.

It matters not what happens in life, ive met the Mighty Bruce and my life is complete.

it's starting to look like life if the plane had not crashed is going to be worse than when it did.....
RIP Julie & Maisie
What's everyone's opinions on this final season so far then.
It's a bit hit and miss with me at times, as certain parts seem to be slowing right back down, but the fact that a lot of things seems to be tieing together gives hope it won't be a s***e ending.
I've nearly finished season 3 that I've been rewatching and must admit that from the last part of season 2 right through season 3 most of it was just complete filler. Even the parts with them being captured by the Others etc etc, doesn't actually seem to fill anything within the actual "bigger picture", apart from introducing The Others.
It seems even more like this now that season 6 is bringing in the answers.
