OnLive to be integrated into all Google TV devices
http://www.gamasutra.com/view/news/39590/OnLive_to_be_integrated_into_all_Google_TV_devices.php

Newsbrief: In OnLive's latest move to expand its platform to new devices, the company revealed that its cloud-based game streaming service will become available as a standard feature in all televisions and devices running the Google TV platform.
Quote:

The OnLive Viewer, which enables all of the service's social features, is available now for all current and future Google TV devices. OnLive says users will soon be able to stream games directly through Google TV, allowing these devices to function much the same way as the existing OnLive MicroConsole.

In a similar move, competing streaming company Gaikai announced yesterday that it will integrate its service into select Digital TVs from LG Electronics.

Earlier this week, OnLive took its first step outside of the game industry with a new iPad app that lets users stream a cloud-based version of Windows 7 directly to their tablet devices.

I guess it's really taken off in America then where it's been running a while. Haven't tried Gaikai again, since my failed attempt a while ago.

I guess they need to do a big deal with BT or Virgin, and advertise to them to attract the ppl that don't know about it, rather than advertise it to ppl who have already tried it. maybe that will come once they've done a deal to ease any concerns about throttling. Maybe in USA that's nto such an issue?

I wasn't particularily interested in Onlive till i read that it will soon be able to stream a fully functioning Windows 7 to the Ipad and other devices. That's 1 less reason for me to not buy an Ipad.

Currently giving these away free if you pre order pro evo 2012 for £29.99.

Hadn't looked much at these before, but now I'm sorely tempted.

No, but I read the Reg review, posted last page, and was surprised how much they praised it, I expected them to be snobby about it. I think as you can tell fromt his thread, myself and the others that have tried it on PC are pleasantly surprised by it. I've played a few games on it just to demo, Dirt, Street Fighter, Space Marine, Duke Nukem and not had problems. If you've got suitable broadband I think it's a sensible option, as as you say it's a lot cheaper than upgrading PC, or buying games for a PS3/XBox/360, if you want to play the games they get.

They get AAA games, but sadly not all games, and some come some time after the PC release.
