nothing really constructive to say yet, sorry. sat waiting for it to start and am more excited than the kids. actually, i think i just followed through...
I still haven't seen a 3D movie at the cinema, never could get tickets for Avatar at an Imax, so this might be the one that makes me go!

its well worth a watch. a bit tear-jerky in places, anyone a little softer than me might even have shed a tear... some real comedy moments in it, and i think overall a really nice way to end the story. i hope they leave it there too, anything more would ruin it for me i think.
Saw it earlier in plain old 2D (I already see in 3D), and thought it was great. I watched the first two on BD last night to refresh my memory and it was a good decision because it really put me in the mood. I reckon it's the best one yet and actually superior to most of the films I've seen this year.

I'm going to see it tomorrow in plain old 2-D as I'm not going to succumb to Cineworld's ridiculous surcharge and risk a migraine by seeing it in the entirely unnecessary stereoscopic format. As all the right names are attached, I have high hopes of it living up to the extremely high standards set by the first two.

Anyone seen it in 3D yet? Is it worth the extra money? Taking my 4year old nephew on Monday to see it and not sure whether he will cope with the glasses.
We saw it in 3d, and I'd say it was definitely worth the extra couple of quid.
As for kids and glasses, our youngest is only just 3 and he managed absolutely fine.
I saw this yesterday in 2-D and I can't say it would have been improved in the slightest by watching it in the fashionable new stereoscopic format as everything that was great about the movie has nothing to do with the visual quality. Saying that Toy Story 3 looks great is a bit like saying that the sun was hot -- it just goes without saying and is practically a given.
I'm not sure where this stands in the trilogy, whether it is the best of the three or whether it is somewhere in between one and two but the cinematography was quite superb, the voice acting (as you would expect) terrific and, for a film that is so incredibly ambitious, it didn't lose focus for one second.
Tim Allen was just brilliant in this as he was probably given the most demanding lines of any voice actor in the last decade and the rest of the cast, from Tom Hanks to Joan Cusack to newcomers Ned Beattie and Michael Keaton were all spot on and as good as I'd hoped.
In years to come, this will be seen as a classic movie, whether in 3-D or not. Personally, I can't see why it was released in 3-D as I imagine it would just be like when I saw Toy Story 2 in 3-D which was just distracting and didn't make a great movie any better. Go and see it without the glasses and save a little money at the till while you're at it!

I agree with David, there's nothing special that happens that makes seeing it in 3D a must.
I really loved it, and it made me cry! I cried at the beginning when Andy is playing and it made me remember my own childhood and much-loved toys, and also SPOILER:
them all holding hands preparing to get incinerated!
