This is a Spielberg thing isn't it Rob? Or is it just a very loose association with him?I didn't think this had anything to do with him? Falling Skies was his latest scifi TV waste of space.

Spielberg is listed as one of many Executive Producers, Wikipedia also says
Quote:
"Australia was chosen after producer Steven Spielberg vetoed Hawaii because he wanted a different filming location from his 1993 film Jurassic Park"

Anyone still watching this? I'm finding it a tough watch but still hanging on for now. It's slowly descended into "story of the week" episodes and the overarching stories hinted at in the initial episodes largely ignored barring a few titbits thrown in now and again.
The special effects for the dinosaurs are nothing short of awful. When Jurassic Park was 20 years ago I would expect by now to have that level as standard but they are well below this.
Also, with the exception of a few, most of the characters are largely unlikeable - ie the wife and son.
I like the wife! But yes there is a lot to go meh about character wise. ![]()
Still watching it, it's enjoyable fluff.

"There's that word again... is there a problem with the Earth's gravitational pull in the future?"
You know, it weird. Even though this show is completely uninspired and predictable, and CGI is terrible, and the writing is all over the place, and the plot holes are enormous... I've somehow grown to sort-of like it. .
Maybe I'm just in a good mood when I watch it.
The decision to renew for a second season has been deferred to the new year by Fox. The ratings have been disappointing for the show's budget.
