I haven't seen it yet, but everyone I know that has says it's rubbish. Pity really, I liked the look of the trailers.

I'll give it a go. As said above, the trailer looks good. That means it's bound to be scrapped mid-season! lol

I was really looking forward to this but ended up being very dissapointed indeed, will give it another episode or two but it will really need to pick up, beginning was especially poor i thought

First episode was "ok", second was "ok", third (technically fourth I guess as the first and second where shown back to back on the first night).... ARRRGH.

SPOILER:
So these kids are coming towards them with guns, they know these kids are under alien control, they are pointing their guns at them, and they just stand there gawping at them in plain sight waiting for them to start shooting before they think "lets take cover"

And then to make the whole episode even worse...

SPOILER:
Everybody having a good old pray at the end there, Ted.

This is worse than when V suddenly decided it would be all about how the aliens were fascinated by the human soul.

we're watching it on FX, and kind of like it, want to, but every 10 mins the missus asks where the zombies are, I remind her this one is aliens, not zombies Winking

I think that's the problem,  it all seems a bit too familiar like these post apocalypse/zombie/triffids/plague movies/shows.

Or predictable, and it's got that horrible Spielberg smaltzy tone to it in large quantities. I so want it to be good but it isn't remotely exciting, the action scenes are just so benign, even Noah Wyle is putting in a completely forgettable performance.

There isn't even any conflict, surely there should be some conflict? People keep doing stupid things and nobody even shouts at anyone about it!
