if these things could possibly give him an advantage, then that's unfair on other athletes.
Are other disabled athletes "up in arms" about this

As technology has given him the advantage to compete with the abled bodied athletes so technology has been assisting abled bodies athletes for years

If you don't want him to compete then you'd have to ban asistive technology from the sport completely

I thought it was, with perhaps the exception of cycling, and there I think it should be too. There should be a standard bike, no modifications.

Unless you count special swimming costumes with clever coatings, and again if they give an advantage then yes they should be too, imho.

For me the Olympics is about the fastest, strongest, most accurate, etc.

I was watching a bit of triathlon the other day, and wetsuits have to meet certain specifications, and can only be worn if the temperature is below a certain amount since they can aid with water resistence etc.

As far as i could see though, the bikes, must meet certain criteria, but not everyone uses the same make/model. It was interesting that the bikes are different to normal road bikes as they are designed so you put less strain on the muscles you're about to use on the run.

BMX, road cycling, MTB, track etc I guess the rider rides whatever bike they are sponsored to ride normally. Last time I looked, Sky sponsor British Cycling team, but a bike manufacturer doesn't so in the same team they could have different equipment.

It's a question of classification and if he is able bodied enough to compete in the ordinairy games he should not also be entered into the paralympics.

And it seemed to me he ended a  Radio 4 interview when the interviewer wasn't fawning over him and suggesteed it was unfair.

Bet they wouldn't have let him swim with flippers on.
