Celtic disgrace!

Once again Celtic supporters show their true colours by displaying a banner denouncing poppys and soldiers who died fighting for their country (I mean the UK, of course NOT the Irish Republic). As usual the press have failed to report this incident and no doubt it will go unpunished by the club.

In fact why should the club punish them as, if they did away with bigotry within their supporters, they would have very few supporters left. Also the directors must be laughing at these morons because, if they had a brain cell between them, they would realise how many Celtic players, managers and directors (including their current chairman) are happy to receive honours from the Queen these supporters hate so much!

Their majority shareholder, Dermot Desmond, keeps droning on about joining the English Premier League. If they are that keen on leaving the SPL why don't they "go h
ome" and joining the League of Ireland?

I saw this as well.  Thought when I first heard about it that it would have been a single small banner but amazingly it was very long and in about 7 parts...

Harmless

My first thought when I read the header of this post was that it related to yesterdays destruction of Aberdeen - noticed on Sky Sports they stuck 9 (nine) Confused past them - although only around 4 goals were shown. Thought o.p. might have felt they should have stopped at six to save face for Aberdeen. Had to check they were in same league.

However correct me if i'm wrong here but it was a peaceful protest wasn't it? Has any law been broken? Just because we buy poppies doesn't mean everyone resident in the UK has to. I can think of a number of groups resident in the UK who would avoid buying them. The 3 conflicts the banner lists are not exactly free from low moments for the British Army either. It wasn't that long ago that the outrageous goings on in Iraq were exposed. My recollections of the conflict In Ireland recall some bad incidents as well. The banner isn't a downright lie!

Just buy your poppy and let them do there thing.

Really?  Far more than were perpetrated against the British Army, UK mainland and Irish Civilians?  Do go on...

Why?
Did you check Wigan were in the same league when Tottenham beat them 9-1?
It's just another example of (comparitive) haves and have-nots.
Some of Celtic's players earn more than the entire Aberdeen squad.
Their average attandance is 40+ thousand.
Aberdeen's average attandance is lucky to go over 10k.

My tuppence worth.

Mates gunned down at Warrenpoint by the fun lovin' IRA when trying to help injured mates.

Relative murdered at Enniskillen.

Mates house blown up in Aldershot and his wife seriously injured .

I despise the actions of these cretins and their uneducated followers and their banners.

Last season at Falkirk we heard the foul mouthed bigoted and ignorant gutter dwellers singing their bile during the silence before our game against Celtic. Even their chairmen was seen to be shaking his head in disgust at them. Sky conveniently muted the sound for their own reasons.
These individuals are nothing more than the dregs of society who know absolutely phuq all of their clubs history.

BREAKING NEWS

Thousands of men from Ireland VOLUNTEERED to serve in the Great War so these ignorant phuqwits and their banners tarnish the memory of their own with their vile utterances.

BTW contrary to what the official line was last year, from the Celtic Supporters Federation, the marring of the silence before the game was a planned protest and not spontaneous as they claimed. My mate is a season ticket holder at Celtic and he warned of this two weeks prior to the game.

The actions of these ignorant bottom feeders shows not only them up but their club and is a great reminder to England what their fans would bring to their leagues.

BTW, read the banner again.

Shows how phuqen thick they are.

Check the spelling.

BLOOSTAINED

Thick sphincters. Shows that English must be their second language as well

I'm not sure whatever your viewpoint on the rights and wrongs of the protest, that football is the place to make it. I don't think sport in general should be used for political or religious protest/rivalry, free speech, peaceful or otherwise.

It's what Celtic and Rangers supporters live for.

For those that missed it last year

I wonder if the thick ringpieces can spot what John Reid is wearing on his lapel .
