I don't see any surprises in that statement at all.
Now as long as the fans still accept him for the incredibly skilled and dedicated professional he is all will be well until Barca start tapping him up again which on all previous evidence will probably be tomorrow morning.

Heh, I'm pretty sure the fans will appreciate his honesty. I mean, apart from his 100% commitment in every game he's ever played for Arsenal, and his skill, playing with a broken leg against Barcelona to try and get us a win... that's commitment.

Believe me I agree but there are always those fans that can't see that a player is not like a fan.
To them it's like one of their mates down the pub saying "Nah, sod this I'm following Tottenham now"

On which subject I think we may be going for the record in 'Playing with Young Boys' jokes.
The unlikely prospect that they might actual lose to them though is delicious.

So we still need a new goalkeeper. Confused

Koscielny looks very good though.

Only heard the commentary from over here.
Sounds like Chamak got a bit of a shock, his first prem match.
Koscielny seemed to do well but how much were we all bricking it when we thought he'd been crooked for a while.

Wouldn't surprise me to find Almunia between the sticks all season with Chesney Hamkes getting the Carling spot but if we don't get another centre back we're going no higher than third again.

2.1 I'll take that.
We could've/should've had more and they only one they scored wasn't from their hoof it up front and bully tactics. I thought Koscielny got caught out too easily for their goal but overall had a good game.
....and, whisper it quietly, Almunia had a fairly good game. Stand up head to head row with Diouf who, lets face it, rows with the bathroom mirror.
Maybe Manuels growing a pair.

There is no way that towels should be allowed to dry the ball for throw in's. If the player wants to wear a toweling football shirt fine but if you allow that then why not allow Rugby style tees for free kicks and penalties.

Aye was a good game, agree that Koschieiny got caught badly there, didn't recover, and Clichy and Vermaelon couldn't seem to decide which of their fault not tracking the runner was.

Looks like no goalkeeper yet then. Confused

Also did you see Hleb has gone to Birmingham City? I do like it when someone leaves Arsenal for better things and they turn out not to be!

Bit shakey at the back again, I suspect lacking Vermaelon was the reason.

Two new boys as a centre back pairing so not surprising,
Vermalen should firm things up a bit and we need to play Djourou in, probably as a sub once we're in front in games against the bottom half teams.

I thought Cesc ran the show and looks back on form and, don't shout it to loud, we've got another striker who can head the ball.

Heh yeah, he seems to be getting his eye in on those amazing through balls again.

Nice to have another proper striker again. Also I thought Almunia was somewhat to blame for the goal for committing himself unnecessarily.

Still at least he isn't this bad:
