I've watched every world cup since 1966 & this is the most boring I have ever had to watch. Not one match has held me at all. I looked at tonights match. Brazil... I thought "great, at last" but then I saw the apponents North bloody Korea. Hells bells there are a ton of great teams not in this world cup & we have to watch Brazil v North Korea. It has been diluted down too much. Like it or not it was much better when the majority of teams came from South America & Europe.

I agree but it was interesting & they didn't have those bloody vuvuzelas, a name that will soon become associated with 'stick it up yer ass'.
Don't forget the US 'World series' is only , er' American teams.
I have to say I like watching the Koreans (south), Japan & a number of these minority teams but it has now gone too far.
TBH all these bloody gits moaning about the noise of the Vuzuvelas need a slap. It is a football stadium if you don't like the noise turn your TV down or watch it in mute or don't watch it all. Oh lets ban it and complain to BBC, what a bunch of ......
Anyway on the world cup N Korea got there on Merit so deserve to be in it, also this is my most looked forward to game in round 1, I mean if they lose you reckon they'll dissappear after the whistle or what.
Besides there should be a few good games coming up Brazil / Portugal should be a cracker.
In terms of the games so far they haven't exactly set the world alight bar the Germany game, however I think most teams were just wanting not to lose their opening match and hopefully things will open up now.
I hate the vuvuzelas and I hate that there are hardly any goals.

It's *constant* regardless of what's happening on the pitch. If it reflected the excitement of the crowd as the ball got towards the goal then fine, if it was only at SA matches then fine, but no. Kick-off bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Shot on target bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Foul bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Goal bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

I love the World Cup but to be honest I don't think this one is much different to any other one. Short memories maybe but the first games are always like that - with both sides just not wanting to lose. I'm sure things will get more interesting from the second games -as usual....
As for the vuvuzelas, I hadn't even noticed them until they were pointed out. I expect noise at the games.

Only letting in 2 and pulling one back against one of the football "greats" ?
I would have happily walked away from a Scotland game 2-1 down to Brazil thinking the boys did their bit...
Or are you still berating them Paull?
