I heard you won, well done.
I watched the Spurs game and then went to a kid's birthday party.
Pretty much sums up how interested I was in the final.
Might have been nice to see MON in a suit though.
Instead of dressed like a dog-walking chav.

Grats on winning the 4th most important trophy! And to think years ago Fergie didn't give a toss about the league cup too!

Shouldnt u be congratulating the ref and assistant referee for f***ing up the final with a ridiculous call which helped Man U to their win??

I though Vidic should have walked, so did every United fan I've read about on the net, however on the radio today, on 2 different stations, they had refs on who thought the ref made the correct decision.

Didn't see the game, however I do remember the Champions League final where Jens Lehmann was sent off for Arsenal early on and that did ruin the spectacle from a viewers point of view.

Regardless of whether it was a red card or not (which is an argument IMO) the fact is Vidic didnt even get a yellow card!!!

Now he got a yellow during the second half.

In my mind the foul for the penalty has to result in at least a yellow and then he should have walked after half time anyways!

Its my opinion that the penalyty incident was a goal scoring opportunity and he obvioulsy was the last defender so I think we can possibly work out what I would have done

I did like Vidic's comment after the game though

"I was worried but then I tackled him from the front not from behind so i think the ref made the right decision"

Errr I'm sorry but since when did that make any difference in this scenario ???

Vidic should have been sent off, that's without doubt.
But I'm not convinced it would have made a difference.
Aston Villa are a dreadfully negative team. Sad

The issue isnt whether it would have made a difference though is it.
It could have obviously

Not sure I'd have had Villa down as that negative but then I dont watch their games so I suppose I wouldnt really know

It's only a couple of weeks ago their own support were booing them for a lack of endeavour at home.
It wasn't a one-off, there have been plenty of examples which made the support 'snap' and get on MON's back.
