One of the guys I sent a text about the rumour to yesterday pulled me as soon as RB was seen at the ground last night.
My take is that neither RB or the club are that unprofessional that they would have left the team managerless less than 12 hours before kick off. IF something kicked off yesterday and the s*** is going to hit the fan then i;d expect it over the next day or so
They said this morning that RB denied anything. Well on MOTD I thought when the question was put to him he didnt actually answer he simply just said "we're focusing on what we can control, the squad, the training etc etc etc etc etc".
I don't see that as a denial, I see that as avoidance
I think we need to watch this space, but I hope to god that he doesnt go now. It would be totally the wrong time
We have a shot at challenging this year for the title
There is no time for a new manager to move players in or out
There isnt exactly loads of obvious candidates
IF he has to go then the people at the top should like and lump it until next summer and then do the necessary.
Hell, if anything at least it would provide Benitez with extra motivation to win the league. I can;t think of too much that would beat knowing your getting the boot in a year but winning the title just before they kick you out the door!!!

Thats better
4-0 to us and Burnley beat Utd, good night all round
Careful Kennedy or you;ll be getting pilliaried from our resident old trafford nut case
Wonder what he will be blaming for the defeat, who cheated them out of it?
Maybe we're just all wrong and United actually beat Burnley 3 - 0 ?

Have to laugh, hadn't heard "the rumour" so had to go onto Newsnow to find out the rumour was that he'd quit.
Had to laugh though, there's an update thing where they've updated about 8times with Paddy Power suspending betting etc (they also say this happened in Feb), but half way through it had best conspricay theory so far and clicks to a link with someones Twitter.

Are you refering to me? Because I am getting a bit sick of your attitude.
What a tosser you are. Burnley were good we were poor. But we've had poor starts at the start of the last few seasons, but it's the end that counts.

A while since you've had such a poor squad though.
Although that, of course, may change this month/January.
If it doesn't, you could well struggle.
(Sorry to butt in on a Liverpool thread).
Football without bitching = rugby,.
I'd rather contract leprosy than have anything to do with rugby.

Do you really reckon that though? Surely if anything it'd be the first team that'd worse due to loss of Ronaldo/Tevez, rather than the squad as otherwise it's the same squad as last season, with the youngsters now having more experience?
Utd's second choice team
Foster,
Rafael,
Brown,
Evans,
O'Shea,
Park,
Scholes,
Anderson,
Giggs,
Owen,
Macheda
That's leaving out Tosic, Gibson, Obertan, Hargraves (because he's a cripple), Wellbeck, Neville
Liverpool's second choice team
Cavelarri,
Degen,
the greek fella who's just signed,
possibly Agger (otherwise Carragher or Skertel)
Auerlio
Lucas
Plessis
Benayoun
Babel
Voronin
N'Gog
Left out is Dossena, El Zhar and Nemeth.
Chelsea's second team would p*** on everyone else's, but the reason I'm questioning is that Utd's squad is pretty much the same as it's been in the past 3years we've won the league so I don't see how it's a poor squad all of a sudden. Obviously Giggs, Scholes and Neville aren't the players they were, but that's been the case for a few years now and in fairness will be used sparingly.

Poor squad's maybe a lazy accusation, I'll give you that.
Just that getting rid of Ronaldo and Tevez has left a massive hole in your squad, that no amount of those other players can hope to fill.
Both players able to change a game at the drop of a hat.
Perhaps 'lacking up front' (in your current state) is a more accurate statement.
