I think papers just take the 'top line' figure and to hell with the actual ins and outs.
Sensational 'top line' figures look better and are shorter to print.

For the "headline" i agree
If you read further in you usually find out more detail though

TBH i listen to radio a lot more than I do read the paper. Infact its become a rarity for me to grab a paper these days.

I migfht read a paper if someone has bought one in the office, but then I only flick through it. I can't stand papers, and the sooner it's all online the better! Winking

And paper talk is rarely spot on - online forums and football sites like F365 is where it's at.

I wouldn't be suprised if he had sounded out Campbell.

I assume you mean Kanoute?

No, I meant Campbell. HR doesn't grasp the fickle football fan.
The way some supporters are delighted to see Keane back, I was hacked off that we mugged off Liverpool and they mugged us back.
The way HR warmed up Hossam Ghaly at home what did he expect, at least give the boy a run out away from home, hopefully have a good game and build some bridges.
I, for one was disappointed at the treatment of Ghaly, showed far less disrespect than Berbatov or Keane IMO, just a bit of an immature misjudgement.

The Club can confirm its participation in this summer's Barclays Asia Trophy in Beijing, China, along with West Ham United, Hull City and Beijing Guoan.

The four-team knock-out tournament will take place over two match days with a final to determine the winner and a play-off to decide third place.

That's been in the offing for a while so glad it got sorted early in the window.
He's fallen behind Palacios in the defensive midfield position.

I am. Got 6 tickets in the upper tier. My uncle went to an England game there, and was sat in very similar seats. He said they were fine and showed a great view of the game.

Haha!
Same old rhetoric, I see.
Couldn't just say Zakora has signed for Sevilla, had to add the CL bit too!
Tee hee! Grinning
