Might as well start it now. 8)

Sunderland have revealed they turned down a £20million bid for Kenwyn Jones. Shocked
Bentley is being linked with a move to Villa, possibly in a swap deal with Gareth Barry.

The Barry thing is odd. Can't see him wanting to leave Villa for Spurs really. Not a step up or down either way. I think it was an extrapolation from the "Villa ask about Bentley" story.

Bentley is definitely going isn't he - Harry has said that he ought to start looking around and even talked of the other players he was behind in the pecking order

can't be nice

That was in January though, and we've since said we aren't interested in him.

I still think there's a possibility that Bentley might stay.

As well as Barry, we've been linked with Santa Cruz, McGeady, Sneijder and a mysterious ex-Spurs player who might return. This is all forum (ITK) talk, as well as a bit of paper fluff.

I'd put my mortgage on it.

I' surprised Downing hasn't been mentioned for a while.
Is his injury ruling him out?

For a number of reasons I have lost a bit of touch with the team and the holes in it this season, what should we be looking to do over the summer?

We should be looking to add possibly another striker, another STRONG midfielder and possibly a couple of backups here and there. I think Harry said we were 2 or 3 players away from a top 4 squad, and he knows who he wants.

Add a left-sided midfielder to that.
We desperately need a left footed f***er out there.
Hence the constant mention of Downing.
I don't think McGeady is the answer, personally.
He's left footed, no doubt.
But so am I, and I'm crap.

I think Modric has worked well on the left, and with Bale as backup it's possibly not a priority.

Question is, who do you think will leave? I can see players like Hudd and Jenas going (though I don't want them to) if the right offer comes in.

Well some definitely will, as Harry's been told he has to sell before buying.
I would say the only definite is Bentley.
Possibles, IMO, are Jenas, Huddlestone, King, Bent, Pavlyuchenko, Hutton.
Potentially £40-£50million there.
