Thought we could start this with the news that Raul even with his Real Goals this season has been left out of the Spanish squad, the 1st of many surprises no doubt Happy

I wouldn't go as far as a surprise.

It's been confirmed since about February that he wouldn't have been going. It would have been a surprise if he HAD been named.

Seedorf removed himself from the Holland squad this week as he didn't feel he was fit enough which is a big move for him, taking into consideration his age also.

Trezeguet 20 goals in Serie A this season for Juve not named in France's provisional 30!! If there are 5 or 6 better strikers in france than him then they must be among the favorites. For me, along with Raul another BIG surprise

Ryan Babbel withdrawn from Dutch squad after tearing ankle ligaments in training Sad And yes I rate Trezeguet, always been a top finisher and for tournaments like this im a great believer in picking the form players and any striker who gets 20 goals in Serie A has to be considered on form

Just to back up my case this from Goal.com

Readers were asked to name the best 'bomber' of the past 15 years, thus referring to pure goalscorers, rather than all round forwards or second strikers.

The prolific Trezeguet has scored 155 goals in 255 appearances since joining the Bianconeri in 2000.

‘Trezegol’ won 35 per cent of the votes, 11 per cent more than second-placed Fiorentina legend Gabriel Batistuta

155 in 255 in the Italian top league is simple incredible for me, I think he has 1 in 2 for France too hasnt he? and that given he has been the No 2 striker behind Henry pretty much all that time?

I am struggling to raise an interest in it. My support Poland purely due to the number of Poles about. So if they do well it could be fun.

Im exactly the opposite, with no UK teams im hoping that the commentators will stfu about the past and obviously they will focus on EPL players and with so many on show it should be (hopefully) an open tournament with attacking flowing football, Perrenial underachievers most teams are I look at Spain and wonder if they will ever have a better chance, the Dutch should be strong, Germany Italy France speak for themselves....loads of outsiders tho which is what excites me....Croatia (can they be considered outsiders?) Poland, The Czechs really impressed me second half, Portugal with Ronaldo pulling the strings, Russia, Romania, both hosts...I think its the most wide open Euro ever and cant wait Happy

Oops dont forget the holders...they couldnt do it again.........could they?

Where as no doubt I will watch it, it won't have the same excitement, and disappointments as it we were there. There won't be the highs and the lows. Non of my mates have got together to book the section of the pub we like so we all get a good seats. No sweeps as no one can be bothered. By now they would have been talked about if not sorted.

I hope I get into it. I am just not feeling it at the mo.

I'm with you, Doc.
I'll probably end up watching some of it.
Maybe the Portugal games, keeping my Portugese mate company.
But I couldn't really give a f***.
International football bores me, pretty much. Tongue

Well I've always liked the Dutch so I guess I could follow them
The ever impressive Torres lines up for the Spanish so I could well find a foot in their camp
Of course being quarter polish I guess I should maybe consider cheering no the Polski nation

Alternatively I may just support anyone playing against portugal Winking
