Amazon - free delivery on ALL items

Just wondered who else had noticed that their Supersaver delivery is now applicable for all items regardless of cost.

So the £20 limit came down to £5 and now it's gone completely. Happy

Hopefully in time, that'll become same day 1st class despatch like most other E-tailers.

Haven't they ditched Royal Mail as their carrier?

I thought that it was announced they did on BBC, but then Amazon made a statement denying decision had been made?

Edit- Struggling to remember where I saw this though, maybe saw it on news, could just be chatting sh*t.

As for Amazon they are currently working with other couriers

They have not said they are ditching Royal Mail altogether

I hadn't heard it through the media, just on their website. It says it at the top of the page "Free delivery with no minimum purchase".

I've noticed that larger packages come by courier now, but DVDs etc still seem to come via Royal Mail.

They're using a home delivery service.. can't remember who.. The problem is that if you're out when they call, you have to call to arrange an alternative delivery date.. there doesn't seem to be any option to pick it up at a depot like CityLink or Royal Mail Sad

Technically I think it is as I haven't seen an increase in prices since it was announced...

I've used their Amazon Prime which was a free trial, and that was excellent. I ordered my dad's presents around 7pm on Friday, and my dad got it the very next day.

I haven't extended my membership after the trial had ended, as it costs £47.97 a year, as I only really use the new and used section when ordering books and dvds, and use the Amazon store for birthdays and Christmas.
