SVP Item missing from order and they`re refusing to acknowledge the problem
posted by Faxy Fowler on Thursday, 23rd July 2009, 14:12

Harmless

I received a SVP order last week.

Never used them before but they seem to be highly recommended by several users on this site.

My order arrived missing a key item, which was the most expensive item and the main reason I placed the order with them in the first place.

I emailed their 'customer support' who told me that the order was correct.

The order was not correct, I found it incredibly insulting that they claimed it was.

I asked them if they could send me my mising item or refund me.

They replied in a rather patronising tone, that my order was correct and that they 'photographed' my order before it was sent to me and it was correct.

I am outraged at their attitude. I have never come across such disgusting customer service from any company.

they shouldnt fob you off so easily as that!
get them to send you a copy of the photo for one thing

for another if they are suggesting that you are lying I suggest that you scream at someone down the phone - well maybe not scream but the customer is supposed to be 'always right'
not 'always on the thieve'

I have never bought anything of sarah jessica parker or her husband so I cant comment on their previous service

SVP were great, but they recently seemed to change.
I don't know if it's just location or changed hands completely but I do know all their "special offers" and the 24 hour pricing special stuff is now basically the same price and stock as everywhere else.

They also now seem to heavily lean on the side of PC parts supply whereas before it was general stuff and consumables.

Haven't used them for ages now as the pricing is so close to high street that the postage in some cases made them more expensive.

I think 'were great' sums them up at the moment.

I get their emails for the Monday Midday Madness and Wednesday Madness deals but at about 8 O Clock at night when the offer has ended Confused

that keeps happening to me- I've even had the monday e-mail arrive on the friday after the offers.

I've not ordered from them for a long time, I don't think their prices are as good as they once were. Shame really, I've spent many £100's there over the years........

As for the OP's problem, tell them that you will be contacting your credit card for a cash back if they don't deliver what you have paid for.

Isn't that only for things over £100?
