Afternoon folks Happy

Just thought I would post about this great wee company. I have been feeding my garden birds for years now and finally found a site who offer and provide a great service.
Prompt delivery, really good prices and a very professional, courteous and helpful staff.
I usually, well always, get the no mess bird seed (no cleaning up afterwards and 25Kg of seed means 25Kg of seed and no chaff).
I usually order two 25Kg bags every two months for the birds and another great bonus is the smell in my workshop from the stored seed Happy Happy , makes it easier to use the treadmill when there is a pleasant smell in the air.
Anywhoooo folks, give Bird Ventures a wee try. They also look after a reasonably large area of hedgerows etc which protects the environment for the wildlife in the area.

Tried feeding the birds once, wound up feeding the cats instead.

That's great I have got Alan Titchmarsh and Bill Oddie as my neighbours and they both feed the birds I just wish they would come and clear the rats out that decided to live under my shed, feeding the birds should be banned. Confused

The rats under your shed will be attracted to either waste or rotten food in the bucket / garden and not by anyone feeding birds. I have been feeding birds for years now and have yet to hear or see a rat in almost twenty years in our garden or under the wooden shed.Happy

Well the fact that I can watch the rats feeding at the bottom of my neighbours bird tables from my back bedroom window would disprove that statement ,and as for waste in my back garden there is none, I double bag my rubbish and then put it in the wheelie bin situated at the front of my house.

And why people have to feed a species that as managed to survive for the last 65,000,000 years without man feeding them is beyond me. Confused

FFS mate, why feed dogs or cats in that case. Both are feral by instinct. Re the feeding I and many others simply like it . You might not so why bother commenting on a topic where a bit of advice or recommendation was given in the hope others may find it helpful.

Right now, a few doors up from me, a couple of guys in hazmat gear are scraping 6 inches of pigeon muck off a window sill.

There ought to be a law against feeding these winged rats!
