Anyone used fonebank? (mobile recycling site)

Anyone used fonebank? its a mobile recycling site
I've been trying to sell a mobile, a Motorola Razr2 V8, but I didn't want to set up a sellers account on e-bay so asked a family member who already has an account if they would list it for me.
To say it didn't go well is an understatement.
Several scammers in Africa, bidders who vanish when it comes to paying, you know the kind of thing, to cut the story short, its been listed 4 times but I've still got the damm thing!

So, I started looking at retailers taking handsets as a trade in.
The carphone warehouse looked promising, but the mobile I want to buy is £26 more from them than the retailer I was planing to buy from. They only buy if you put the money they pay, off the price of a phone bought from them. So, that means I'm only £14 better off selling it to them.

Virgin mobile only take trade ins for airtime. Not money off a phone.

Tesco to a trade in, but its less than fonebank.
Tried Envirofone, mazumamobile, recycleyourmobile & any other ones google came up with, fonebank are offering the highest price, which is £40

I do think its worth more TBH, but I'm sick of trying to sell the thing.
On the e-bay listing, I had it as a buy it now for £55, but that included a Motorola S9 stereo bluetooth headset (that cost me £30, but I found it uncomfortable so never used it) a jabra bluetooth earpiece, leather case, all in excellent condition, hell I've even got the box it came in, but thanks to the morons who messed her about, my sister now won't re-list it on ebay. Sad

£40 from fonebank is the best offer I could find.
Has anyone here used them? if so were you happy with their service?
Thanks, & sorry for the moaning Happy

I used them a couple of months ago. Sent the mobiles and received a cheque back between 2-3 days. Great service. Thumbs up!

Well i posted the phone to them Thursday morning, got a e-mail confirmation Friday, & a check in the post Saturday!
Very impressed by their service, but i still think its odd they buy phones without any of the accessories or the charger

Says on their website the phones are sent to India- so, this time next week someone in Deli could be using my handset Winking

That was my initial thought too admars when I sent them a couple of mobiles and I didn't have the chargers. Good service though and its better than them going into a landfill site.
