Zavvi online any good?

Never used them before, but decided to try them out as they have Okami on the Wii at £12.99. That's a great price, but they're showing it as being out of stock at the moment, with a 2-4 week wait. Has anyone ever used them here before, and is it likely that they won't supply this item for this price? I'm expecting them to not deliver this in time for Christmas if I'm honest, but I don't mind waiting if they are good with stuff like this. I've had it before though with retailers advertising great prices to get you to register, then not supplying the item (I'm looking at you Loaded247).

Let me know anyway. Happy

This may not be any help as I've only ever used them for in stock DVDs and Blu-rays but they were quick to deliver and I'd use them again. From general experience, unless it's a misprice items are delivered at the price at which they were ordered. Order it; at worst it's cancelled and you haven't lost out.

Thanks for your reply. I've ordered the game, so fingers crossed it'll arrive for Christmas. I just thought it was too good a price, and I'm kinda expecting them to let me down. But hey as you say, order it, and if it doesn't arrive then you've not lost anything.

Thanks again.

Wow. Dig that funky "cancel order" button on Zavvi. Deliveries turn up so quickly when you press it! Grinning

Am I right in saying Zavvi and the Hut are owned by Asda? The sites are almost identical.

Ah right. It's the other way round then. I've always found the Hut to be a pretty good retailer. Zavvi's never been that great, but hopefully it'll get better if the Hut are running it now.

Found the pre-bust ZAVVI very slow in comparison to others but occasionally they had good offer so was prepared to wait.

Relaunched ZAVVI had opening £2 offer so gave em a go but item arrived slow and with scratches [not even NEW?] so sent back and asked for full refund.

They made refund only after forcing me to post item back [more outlay for recorded delivery etc] then denied receipt even though online check with RM showed item accepted!

Took ages to get all that refunded [-£2 offer which was only reason got embroiled], so many emails having to be sent and site kept freezing.

Then realised this echoed HUT.COM who were also unreliable.

I then received email stating they were sorry for past behaviour and would honour £2 refund [if emailed them when had MADE/PAID for order...] and like a fool, as I found them to be cheapest for just ONE dvd was after for a while, made this ULTRA cheap with £2 off aswell, I ordered it.

And now, after 12 days since payment and asking for £2 off; am minus any product AND minus any refund................

SO AVOID. AND AVOID HUT.COM TOO AS THEY ARE BEHIND THIS RIP OFF!!

I usually find the Hut to be pretty good overall. I can't lie; there's been the odd occasion when the delivery has taken a while, or the site's been slow and won't let you cancel an order, but otherwise they've been alright. Have to say though, it's not the first time I've read a complaint like yours about them. I wouldn't use them again either if they'd messed me about like that.
