Evenin' All,
I've just received Snow White, The Tigger Movie, U-571 and Pearl Harbour from this site and I must say that I am very pleased with them all.The quality of Pearl Harbour is far superior to VHS and quite honestly as a pleb it looks almost as good as DVD. I was a bit dubious about ordering any VCD's in the first place but am glad I did. I know that the DVD versions are far superior and have many extras but basically it's the movie I'm interested in and not the extras.Having said that I am pleased with first2view but I think I may order from www.eureka.com or www.getvcds.com as I guess this would cut out the middle man's expenses. It seems to be the case that U.K. retailers merely change $ to £ , ie $10 becomes £10 ignoring the exchange rate. There is a site in Malaysia www.videocds.com that charges $6.99 (App £5) for any order which seems not too bad so I may try them.
PS The wife can keep her war movies, give me good old fashioned Disney cartoons.

Mostly Harmless

So are all these VCDs legit or will the moderators censor this thread?

I can only assume that these are legit as they all have Holograms and the discs have embedded / embossed labelling. I know that the skills of the pirates are on a par with the main retailers but other than buying them from the studios themselves basically none of us have any clue whether they are legit or not wherever you buy them from. Most of the retailers have the same FAQ's and state repeatedly that they do not deal in pirated products. I suppose you have to be wary and just make sure that what you are buying is on general sale at the time you order it, after all jails are full of innocent people, or so the inmates say Happy

Competent

I can heartily recommend www.videocds.com - as well as the cheap $6.99 delivery charge, they also mark the items below recommended UK customs levels AND mark as gifts!!

Usually takes 5 days via FedEx Airmail - trackable online...
